How do I draft my initial team?
Following our mission to revolutionize the way fantasy sports are played, we've gotten rid of the draft altogether this season.
Unlike traditional fantasy games where the player draft can make or break your team, our Fantasy Baseball Game is all about how well you manage your team thoughout the season. So, we're allowing our managers to go immediately to the new pre-season trading floor to buy their initial team as soon as they create a team.
Between March 1 and March 23, managers can freely buy and sell players at fixed prices and no transaction fees. Then starting on Monday, March 24, the regular season trading floor will open and prices will begin to move based on supply and demand.
Only a core set of 200 players will be available for trading on March 1. The remaining players will be released according to the following initial public offering (IPO) schedule:
Category | Prices Finalized | IPO Date |
Core Players | Thursday, February 28, 2008 | Saturday, March 1, 2008 |
Studs and Duds (Top 20 and Role Players) | Wednesday, March 12, 2008 | Friday, March 14, 2008 |
Rookies and the Rest | Wednesday, March 19, 2008 | Friday, March 21, 2008 |
Trading Floor Hours: Managers will be able to use the Preseason Trading floor around the clock with brief market closures at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 AM/PM Pacific time for market updates. (The regular season trading floor will be open 9:00 am to midnight Pacific time.)
Managers who sign-up after the season starts will be able to buy players directly from the trading floor at prevailing market prices with no transactions fees for their first 15 purchases or first 300 fantasy dollars with of buys.
Customer service hours are from 9am - 5pm PST, any emergency issues will be handled as soon as possible.
